The following events calendar lists events and dates for both National events and Wellington Group events. 

AAPNZ Wellington members will receive emails about our group events. If you are not a member and are interested in attending any of our events, we often welcome non-members. You can contact our group by emailing us: Wellington@aapnz.org.nz

If you are an AAPNZ member from another group, we welcome you attending any of our events if you are in Wellington - feel free to register for an event or to email us that you are in town.

    Public Speaking: a crucial soft skill for Administrators

    Originally planned for our March meeting, we have rescheduled Kim Chamberlain's presentation on Public Speaking to Thursday 18 June.

    To those who had RSVP’d an acceptance for the March meeting (Public speaking), we will assume you wish to attend the June meeting unless you advise us otherwise. If you are unable to attend on the new date, please send an email to let us know.

    If you had already paid to attend the March meeting your payment will be carried forward as payment for the June 2020 meeting.


    Kim is an international speaker and author. A former national speaking champion and founding president of the Wellington chapter of National Speakers Association, she has trained many people in presentation skills.

    She believes there is much to be gained by collaboration and has set up several initiatives based on this concept, including the Chrysalis for Women business network.

    We look forward to holding our meeting at the new Oaks Hotel on Courtenay Place in Wellington CBD. A representative from the Oaks Hotel will provide a brief overview of this new complex and a brief tour prior to the start of the meeting.

    Please note: we plan to host this as an in-person meeting at the Oaks, beginning with drinks and nibbles at 5.15 and followed; 5.30pm tour of Oaks Hotel. This assumes the ability to meet in-person. 

    Our back up plan is to have Kim join us via Zoom if we need to continue virtual meetings.

    Costs

    In-person: $15.00 for AAPNZ members ($20.00 if you are a non-member)

    Virtual: $5 to cover the cost of premium Zoom

    Payment information will be sent as soon as we have the "venue" confirmed.
