Over the next 20 years, transportation options will change dramatically in the Nelson/Tasman region, and our region’s 65+ age group will double.

The future of transport choices is rapidly changing with electric cars, electric bicycles and electric hire scooters. How will people and businesses handle these transportation choices and growth? Will more people be working from home? Could flexi start-and-finish times ease the traffic backlog at high-peak times? Will the Nelson central commercial hub move west to Richmond? Will Rocks Road/State Highway 6 turn into a 4-lane highway? Will the old railway alignment and St Vincent Street corridor (the former Nelson-Southern Link corridor) be developed? Presenter Peter Kortegast, transportation engineer, will provide information about these questions and suggest what may happen over the next 20 years.

    When: Wednesday, 19 August 2020

Registration 11th World Administrators Summit 2020 - Business Meeting

    11th WA-SUMMIT – INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE

The World Administrators Summit (WA-Summit) Advisory Council invites you and your Association to participate in the:

    • On-line Business Session of the 11th WA-Summit to be held 30 August 2020
    • Face-to-Face 11th WA-Summit to be held May 2021 in New Zealand.

Ensure your country participates in this amazing gathering of leaders of international administrative/office professionals.

Each country may send up to three official Delegates. Funding to attend is the responsibility of each country, association and/or delegate. Where a country has more than three potential Delegates, perhaps due to more than one association within that country, they should agree on representation together. If potential Delegates within a country cannot agree then the Advisory Council will decide, based primarily on the numbers of Administrative/Office Professionals each Delegate represents.

To assist us to better understand likely numbers, our Expression of Interest to Participate survey which was available to all Associations and former Delegates in December 2019. Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus the 2020 event has split into an On-line Business Session 30 August 2020 and a Face-to-Face discussion session which has been postponed to May 2021.

In some circumstances, an individual may apply to be a Delegate, for example if a country does not have a professional association. However, the terms around those circumstances must be adhered to and are set out in the Delegate Credentialing form on this website.

All formal Delegate Credentialing forms must be fully completed, include a photograph and be signed. Delegates can choose to attend either or both of the 11th WA-Summit sessions. All forms are due by as soon as possible. After applications have been received, any final decisions required on Delegates will be made by the Advisory Council.

At the on-line WA-Summit Business Session, Delegates will be considering and voting to endorse the new WA-Alliance structure which replaces the former WA-Summit Advisory Council.

At the Face-to-Face WAS-Summit the Delegates will work in facilitated groups, to openly discuss and reach outcomes on Agenda topics gathered from administrative professionals internationally. Administra, the World Action Plan, will also be reviewed by the Delegates to determine whether it is still fit for purpose.

There will be networking opportunities for all Delegates with a Gala Dinner held on the final evening. We welcome all official Delegates from around the world and hope you will have time to enjoy exploring Wellington, its environs and wider New Zealand.

Registration forms for the WA-Summit will be available towards the end of 2020, so keep an eye on this website and social media. Each Association and all who have completed an Expression of Interest form, will be contacted when Delegate Credentialing is required and as soon as the registration form is available.

We so look forward to welcoming you at either or both the Business Session in August 2020 or Face-to-Face in May 2021, in Wellington, New Zealand.
