End-of-year Social at Broadgreen Historic House

Join Nelson Group members and guests for an evening of laughter, disappointment and triumph when we host another Chinese Auction.

If you’ve never participated in a Nelson Group Chinese Auction, it’s an entertaining (sometimes ruthless) game of gift exchange.  The rules will be revealed before the game begins.

Admittance:  A wrapped gift of no more than a value of $10.  Gifts may be handmade or purchased.  You may bake your favourite Christmas fruit cake or biscuits or purchase a gift.  Some of the purchased gifts in the past have included kitchen items, spices, lotto tickets, toiletries, picnic blanket, and chocolates.

Refreshments:  Although wine and juice will be provided, a plate of finger food to share will be appreciated.

Attire:  In the spirit of the season, please consider adding a touch of holiday cheer by donning a Santa hat, reindeer ears/horns, holiday earrings—use your imagination!

Visit the Samuels Rose Garden before or after the meeting; the fragrant roses should be in full bloom.
