INTRODUCING NELSON GROUP

The Nelson Group of AAPNZ was established in 1991 and represents administrative professionals (personal assistants, executive assistants, office managers, receptionists, secretaries, accounts clerks, and administrators) in the Nelson/Tasman region.  Members in Nelson Group represent a wide range of industries including law firms, education, local government, accounting, engineering, travel, etc.

Administrators in any industry, whether self-employed or working for someone else, will benefit from the ongoing training, upskilling and education that Nelson Group offers.  Nelson Group hosts an annual workshop, monthly group meetings, and monthly social luncheons.  Many of our members state that networking with other administrators is another important benefit to members.  When a member has a question, one of our members will often be able to answer it whether it is a software problem, an educational opportunity or a grammar query.   


NEWSLETTERS

Members receive a monthly group newsletter, Nelson Notes, which is emailed before each meeting, providing details of guest speaker and venue.  The newsletter also includes grammar and skill tips, a report about the previous month's meeting, relevant articles, and information about AAPNZ both locally and nationally.

APD Luncheon 22 April 2020

Dear Administrative Professionals Day Invitee/Registrant

The Association of Administrative Professionals is complying with the New Zealand Ministry of Health to cancel public events of 100 or more people indoors.  Therefore, the Administrative Professionals Day luncheon scheduled for 22 April 2020 at Trailways has been cancelled.

Whether you are working from home or are going into your offices to carry on business, we hope on 22 April, Administrative Professionals Day, you will take a few moments to reflect on the job you do as an administrator and pat yourself on the back for the part you play in operating a successful business.

Looking on the positive side, we hope these chaotic worldwide times will encourage us to reflect on what is important to us and take time to benefit from having to take a break from our normal, busy stressful lives.
